ONCE UPON A WINTER THREAD
Text:
In the quiet folds of an ancient carpet, two jackals — Kalila and Dimna — whisper tales older than the loom itself. Each thread glimmers with the wisdom of kings and the cunning of creatures, weaving a world where animals speak the truths humans dare not utter. The lion rules with pride, the ox trusts too deeply, and the jackals learn that power and friendship can be as fragile as silk. Like the patterns beneath their paws, their fates intertwine — lessons stitched in color and shadow, passed down not through ink, but through the enduring art of thread and tale.
With winter’s arrival, as the world turns inward, these stories travel through the bonds of companionship. In the season’s cold stillness, we find the slow rhythm of return — the quiet pulse of hearth and home. Winter gathers us into its fold, offering moments of warmth against the lengthening dark. It is a season of storytelling, when voices rise like threads of flame, binding people together through word, memory, and wonder.
